Saltwater Fishing

Premium saltwater boat package:

$3300/person plus incidentals “gas, lost or broken gear, tips, etc.”

We provide a 2pm Saturday check-in and an early morning checkout on the following Saturday. A rented vehicle will be provided for your travel to and from the Bear’s Den and also for your use during the week. It will be available for your pickup at either Klawock Airport or the Hollis Ferry Terminal. The rental vehicle is included in your fee for the Bear’s Den, but a valid credit card and driver’s license is required to complete the rental transaction.

We provide each client with two fish boxes to take your catch home! If you need more boxes, they will be available for purchase. The Bear’s Den provides fish cleaning, packing, and freezing for each days’ catch.

Combination Fishing Package

Do you want the best of both worlds when fishing the big waters of Clarence Strait? Are you interested in a more relaxed experience where someone takes you fishing and puts you on the fish? For an additional cost, we can book you for part of your week or your full week with Coffman Cove’s premier fishing guide, John Rodriguez at J and J Charters. Many of our guests have booked with John and have found it to be a great experience as they are introduced to local fishing techniques. If you have never fished on Prince of Wales Island, this is highly recommended.

River Fishing Trips

River Fishing Package: $2500/person plus incidentals “gas, lost or broken gear, tips, etc.”

Make a reality of your dream to catch four different species of salmon, trophy sized Rainbows, Cutthroats and Dolly Varden char. An SUV will be provided along with spinning rods and tackle. Fuel is paid for by the guest.

All packages include:

7 nights/6 days lodging
2 home-style meals per day (breakfast & dinner) plus packed lunch
Tackle Package (includes rods, reels, lures, crab pots, & bait)
Fish Cleaning & Processing Package
2 Fish Boxes for transportation

Daily use of 20ft boat (fuel surcharge is separate)

Transportation to and from Prince of Wales Island.

Fishing licenses

Extra fishing boxes are $50 per box
We CANNOT accommodate special dietary requests due to limited staffing.

RESERVE YOUR SPOT

To reserve your spot during your preferred week, a non-refundable $2000 deposit per person is due by January 5th. The non-refundable balance is due by April 1st. “On a side note, we strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance. There are many qualified companies who specialize in this form of insurance. Remember, this is a high-demand property for high-demand weeks, for fishing in Alaska. We are a small family-run business and provides excellent service to our clients. As such, we get several calls each year from people whom we can’t accommodate due to space limitations.
